From today, we have to pay more for parking in Budapest, in the inner districts it costs HUF 600 per hour, after the new unified parking system in the capital consisting of four zone types came into force.
At its meeting on June 29th, the Metropolitan Assembly decided that instead of 27 different parking zones, a transparent, clear and unified parking system consisting of four zone types would be introduced and parking fees will be raised.
In zone A, parking costs HUF 600 per hour and the fee must be paid between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., in zone B the hourly fee is HUF 450 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., in zone C it is HUF 300 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and in the D-zone it is HUF 200, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. In zones A-B-C you can park for a maximum of three hours, in zone D parking time is not limited.
