An 11-year-old boy drowned in the Danube near the Árpád Bridge on Tuesday evening, July 26th.

 

An 11-year-old boy drowned in the Danube on Tuesday. Due to the search for him, the lower quay in Buda was closed in the section of Margit Bridge-Mozaik street-Hajógyári-island K-bridge – the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) informed MTI. According to the announcement, the boy went into the water near the Árpád Bridge and he drowned. The police diverted the traffic to the upper quay.

 

A few minutes after 8:30 p.m., the body of the little boy was found. This was confirmed by the police at 9:15 p.m.
