Japanese-owned DMG MORI and the German HEITEC software development companies are setting up a research centre in Budapest, creating 55 high value-added jobs in the process, Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said on Wednesday.
The 4 billion forint investment (EUR 11.4m) will be supported with a one billion forint government grant, Szijjártó said. The software developed in the centre will help digitalise machine manufacturing, Szijjártó added. The minister noted that Hungary allocated a record 182 billion forints to research, development and innovation in 2021.
