Passenger numbers at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport fell to 49,283 in November, down an annual 96.1%, operator Budapest Airport said.
In the same month, the airport handled an all-time record 13,864 tonnes of air cargo, up 6.3% from last year, the operator said. The airport has also prepared refrigerated rooms to store incoming loads of coronavirus vaccines, they said. The operator said passenger numbers were expected to rise slightly in the holiday season. Budapest Airport expects the total passenger numbers in 2020 to be around 4 million.
