A man robbed an elderly couple then tried to hit them by a car in settlement near Debrecen on Wednesday night.
Captain Károly Kovács informed MTI, that the culprit broke into the house of the elderly couple at around midnight and threatened them with a spade. After they handed over their valuables, he made them sit in their own car, drove them to an agricultural area where he ordered them to get out then he tried to hit them by the car. Luckily, the couple managed to avoid the car by a jump. The two elderly people went to Debrecen on foot and, arriving to a site, asked a night watchman for help. The police caught the intoxicated culprit in Hajdúszoboszló that night.
