Éva Risztov became first on the world ranking list at the National Swimming Championship held in Debrecen, on 29 March – 1 April.
On the final day of the sport event, she won the 1500 m freestyle with a Hungarian record, beating her own record of 16 min 13 seconds she set last year. With her new 16:12.95 time result she jumped to the front of the world ranking list, too.
“I didn’t plan to set a new record but I “had to” since Mr. Misi Orendi (managing director of the Debrecen Sport Center) had announced it at a press conference earlier that day. “ – she said to the official website of MÚSZ (“Hungarian Swimming Association”).
Besides having excellent sport results, the athlete of the Debrecen Sport Center is a third-year full time student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen. Congratulations to her!
