The number of the students who will be able to study law for free in Debrecen is still unknown but the Faculty tries to keep the tuition fees low. Lots of questions in connection with the legal education in Debrecen still need to be answered. The latest pieces of information indicate that a total of 100 government-funded training places will be available at the 8 faculties of law in Hungary this September, though this number isn’t definitive yet. How many of these places will the University of Debrecen get is also unsure. The amounts of the tuition fees will be determined by the faculty and they will try to set the fees at the minimum. In order to help carry the burden of self-financing, the faculty is going to introduce a new scholarship system which will significantly reduce the liability for students with the best academic performances.
