His acclaimed short film To Shine Again has won two Telly Awards, receiving recognition in both the General – Film & Shorts and General – Student categories.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards are among the world’s most respected honors celebrating excellence in video, television, film, and digital storytelling. The competition receives thousands of entries annually from across the globe and recognizes outstanding creative work from major studios, production companies, broadcasters, agencies, and independent filmmakers alike.
The double victory marks another milestone for Leon, whose film has already attracted attention on the international festival circuit. Earlier this year, To Shine Again won Best Short Film at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles and later became a finalist at the French Riviera Film Festival, held during the Cannes Film Festival.

Previously known as Marcell Virágh Leon, he will now be credited professionally as Marcell Leon on future projects.
